לפי מה שנראה NVIDIA שואפת למכור את כרטיסי DX11 שלה ביום (חג) שנקרא Black Friday שיוצא ב 27.11

Nvidia was always aiming for a launch close to Black Friday, the first Friday after Thanksgiving and this year it is on November 27th. It is important to launch the product before this date as most of the shopping is usually done around this date.

Radeon HD 5870 X2 runs through 3 like butter

מי שרוצה להיות מוכן להריץ את 2 CRYSIS במיטבו צריך לרכוש את הכרטיס זה..שיעלה בערך 600$ (שבטח יעלה בישראל 2900)

הם כבר ערוכים מראש איך לשווק את כרטיס הדגל הזה.

This multi-GPU beast more appropriately known as Radeon HD 5870 X2 was shown in a meeting room running CryTeks latest 3 development build at very smooth framerates. More specifically, the engine was running at 1920x1200 with AA turned off (as has never needed manual AA) and the Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO) rendering technique was significantly more pronounced than in Crysis and Crysis Warhead.

In fact,NVIDIA has planned an enthusiast GPU codenamed GT212 to compete with Radeon HD5800 series.It seems meaningless.NVIDIA cancels it and focus on the development of DX11 GT300,scheduled to launch in December.

Interestingly, it is rumored that AIC partners will design GT300 cards themselves.GT300 has double shaders than that of the previous generation. GT 300 will have 480 shader processors fitted with GDDR5 memories on 384-bit memory interface.

Although NVIDIA is late to launch new products,NVIDIA seems confident in the recapture of performance advantages in P2xxxx in Vantage with the introduction of GT300.Moreover, will continue making more powerful dual-chip products.

AMD is to launch Redwood and Cedar for mainstream and entry-level fields early next year.

כן אבל אני זוכר את הזמנים שהמיינסטרים היה 128 ואם הכרטיס היה בגרסה של 256 הביצועים שלו היו הרבה יותר גבוהים ומי שלקח כרטיס עם 64 ביט בכלל אכל חרא

אז חשבתי שאם כבר הגענו לרמה כזאת גבוהה של ביצועים, לא צריך כבר כמות של 512 ביט?

כי nvidia בפעם ראשונה משתמשים ב 5 ועד 512bit כנראה עם נתונים כאלה הכרטיס יעלה המון כסף קיצצו פה ושם זה עדיין לא רשמי תדע בעוד חודשיים

וגם לפי ביקורת של xbitlabs כרטיס של ati בקריסיס מקבל 1920 מינימום 15fps וב review של trubritar מינימום 7

This is the meat part you always want to read fist. So, here it how it goes:

•384-bit memory interface

•512 shader cores [renamed into CUDA Cores]

•32 CUDA cores per Shader Cluster

•1MB L1 cache memory [divided into 16KB Cache - Shared Memory]

•768KB L2 unified cache memory

•Up to 6GB GDDR5 memory

•Half Speed IEEE 754 Double Precision

A GPU supports C++ natively?

Ferni architecture natively supports C [CUDA], C++, DirectCompute, DirectX 11, Fortran, OpenCL, OpenGL 3.1 and OpenGL 3.2. Now, you've read that correctly - Ferni comes with a support for native execution of C++. For the first time in history, a GPU can run C++ code with no major issues or performance penalties and when you add Fortran or C to that, it is easy to see that GPGPU-wise, nVidia did a huge job.
