Consider that the sensor might be off.

Also, the cpu doesn't rely on data from the motherboard to reduce it's speed, it's done internally in the CPU as far as I know, so if it's not really that hot it won't slow itself down.

If you sit next to something that emits 55 decibel over a long period of time your hearing will be damaged, there's no doubt about that.

If you're willing to sacrifice your hearing for performance, by all means, go for it.

However, it's never good if you have too much air going in or too much air going out, it's always good to try and balance the CFM of the outgoing and incoming airflow.

You can already buy Rev 1.2 right now, I can't say for sure when Rev 2.0 will be here but I don't think it would be a long while.
