שהתחושה בו היא שאתה משחק בסרט הולוודי משום שהוא מנצל את כל מה ש- directX10 יכול לתת.

the geometry shader in Direct X 10 can output results

directly into memory, allowing data to go right back into the

graphics pipeline without going out to the CPU for setup. The

changes will let the GPU accelerate particle effects like

smoke and explosions, which are usually done on the CPU. Games

can also use the geometry shader in combination with texture

arrays to accelerate effects like cube mapping. Games use cube

maps to make an object reflect the world around it. To make an

object like a stainless steel teapot reflect its surroundings,

you have to determine the teapot's surroundings and map it

onto the teapot. Normally, this can take six passes, but a

game can use the geometry shader and a render target array to

create a cube map in one pass."

Direct X 10 is faster than Direct X 9.

Dropping backwards compatibility should do the trick.

"DirectX 10 will increase game performance by as much as six

to eight times. Much of that will be accomplished with smarter

resource management, improving API and driver efficiencies,

and moving more work from the CPU to the GPU. "The entire API

and pipeline have been redesigned from the ground-up to

maximize performance, and minimize CPU and bandwidth

overhead," according to Microsoft. Furthermore, "The idea

behind D3D10 is to maximize what the GPU can do without CPU

interaction, and when the CPU is needed its a fast,

streamlined, pipeline-able operation." Giving the GPU more

efficient ways to write and access data will reduce CPU

overhead costs by keeping more of the work on the video card."

Crysis has Direct X 10 features and it was made on the new and

improved CRYTEK engine.

Crysis will support both DirectX 9 and DirectX 10, which means

that you can run it on a Windows XP PC, as well as an upcoming

Windows Vista PC. You'll get the absolute best graphics with a

Vista machine, but DirectX 9 still will look good. The version

of the game we saw was using a DirectX 9 machine "simulating"

DirectX10 by brute force, and it looked amazing."

While the graphics was unbelievable I was actually more

impressed with the physics in the jungle. I can barely wait to

see the shockwave of a grenade make the trees and leaves

flutter in the blast.. wink

Dx10 cards will be out about November, They will will cost

about the same, some will be more because they are more

powerful and use more expensive memory and production methods

than current cards but only the high end will be like that,

mid range will cost the same or even less.

Dont go all out on a x1900 series from ati or dont get a 7800

series or higher from nvidia right now, you are utterly

wasting your money unless you are rich enough to get another

high end video card when dx10 comes out..

מה המקור של הכתבה?

בקצב כרזה אני עדיין אשאר עם הAXP המזדקן שיש לי במפרט, כי כל פעם שאני מצתכנן שידרוג, זה יוצא כמעט מחשב שלם חדש, וכל איזה חודש יש משהו חדש ומשתלם יותר

אבל בפועל כולם יודעים שיהיו ימבה עיכובים...

כמו מה שהיה עם ה - X1950 פרו...

מה שאומר... קיץ הבא יהיה חם... אני בספק אם יספיקו להוציא לכריסמס שזה בטח הכוונה, אבל כנראה שבאביב זה כבר יהיה בחוץ
