I also think the P4 3.06 is a waste of money currently, however, in a month or so intel are expected to release a new highend cpu and announce a price decrease for their high end processors, at that point buying the 3.06 will be more logical, Also, a radeon 9700 128 mb will be quite enough for any gamer's needs and there is no need to spend almost double on a 9800 pro.

Another suggestion is to wait for the Canterwood chipset and instead of wasteful RDRAM use the Dual DDR PC3200 function the Canterwood offers which will give more memory bandwidth than RDRAM for less money.

There is no need for the Plextor CD-RW drive when there are other brands such as Liteon or Teac that cost half and do the job just as well, I will also suggest replacing the extremely wasteful and expensive coolermaster case with a cheaper Aluminum case or even a metallic case if the weight isn't relevant to you such as the Enermax or Chieftec cases which give better value for cost.

Also there really is no need in any case for a PSU of even more than 350 W for such a system, and if you intend only a mild overclocking for the CPU the Intel stock cooler will be quite enough and there is no need for the AX478.

לב, אני רואה שאתה לא ממש עדכני, Rdram נחשב כבר ישן, לוחות ה-875P עם Dual Channel DDR400

נותנים ביצועים הרבה יותר גבוהים מלוחות שמבוססים על ה-Rdram, וגם ה-Rdram לא ישאר עוד הרבה זמן כי

אינטל כבר לא מחדשת את הצ'יפסטים בשבילו ואין לוח שתומך גם בבאסים החדשים של מעבדי Intel Pentium4

וגם ב-Rdram, בקיצר הלוחות שמבוססים על ה-Rdram ישנים, לא טובים לאוברקלוק, יקרים ולא נותנים כלום

וההפך הם פחות טובים מלוחות שמשתמשים ב-DCDDR400.

כן אתה צודק ש- DDR טובים הייתי לוקח אותם אבל אבא שלי צריך rdram לעבודה שלו עם זה היה ככה הייתי ממזמן כבר קונה DDR אבל rdram גם טובים והלוחות אם שלהם(כמו שאני לוקח) גם טוב ל- oc.
