Vista Premium 64-bit-The computer won't start unless it's safe mode

Hi,

Whenever I start the PC, it looks like it's loading Vista, but then instead of giving me the list of my 3 users I just see a black screen with a couple of minor blue-turkiz stripes (stripes to the hight, not width) and that's it. The PC won't start no matter how long I wait. Even if I unplug all cables, wait a few minutes and replug them it still won't start. Then, when I restart the computer it sayes that windows had an "unexpected shutdown", and asks me if to run it normaly (which never works) or run through safe mode.

The only way I can run the computer is by safe mode, and that's what I'm doing now.

I guess it's important to say that I have never overclocked the PC or touched the BIOS (it's my brother's PC).
