I. Introduction:

Thank you for playing the OVERLORD Demo. This file contains detailed technical

information so please read it through carefully.

II. Installation

--------------------------------------------

To install and run the game you must be logged into the PC as an

Administrator.

Place the OVERLORD DVD in your DVD drive. If you have Autorun enabled, the game

should

automatically start the installation process. If it doesn't start

automatically, then

browse to 'D:\' (where 'D' is the drive letter of your DVD drive) and

double-click

'setup.exe'.

To continue installation simply follow the on screen prompts.

III. Running the Game

During installation you will be asked if you would like a desktop shortcut to

be created, double-click this to start the game.

Alternatively you can start the game by going to:

Start Menu -> Programs -> Codemasters -> Overlord Demo -> Overlord Demo.

KEYBOARD - DEFAULT CONTROLS

Overlord Action: Space

Send Minion: Left mouse button

Callback minion: Right mouse button

Sweep: Left + Right mouse button

Cast spell: E

Guard Marker: Q

Target Lock: Left Shift

Previous/Next target: Shift + Z/C

Camera zoom: Move mouse forward/backwards

Center Camera: F

Prev/Next Minion type: Mouse scroll wheel

Select Minion type: 1 - 4

You can change the default keys by running the Overlord configuration tool

- Run Start Menu -> Programs -> Codemasters -> Overlord Demo -> Config

- Select the Controls tab

- Select Mouse & Keyboard

- Change the key / mouse settings using the lists next to each action

- Click Save & Play

GAMEPADS

--------

Overlord is designed to support the Xbox 360 Controller for Windows. To ensure

it is set up correctly.

- Run Start Menu -> Programs -> Codemasters -> Overlord -> Config

- Select the Controls tab

- Select Gamepad

- Click Save & Play

Many other gamepads are also compatible, however they must have at least two

analog sticks, and 15 distinct button inputs.

You will also need to configure the gamepad before play.

- Run Start Menu -> Programs -> Codemasters -> Overlord -> Config

- Select the Controls tab

- Select Gamepad (Configurable)

- Now click the Configure button. A new window will appear which allows you

to select a button for each of the actions

- Click the button to the left of the action you wish to Configure (it will now

say Scanning)

- Press the gamepad input that you want to perform that action

- Repeat this for all actions

- Click Ok to return to the main Overlord Config tool

- Click Save & Play

NOTES:

- You may need to update your gamepad drivers in order to map all the buttons

on your controller.

- You may not be able to map all the buttons to your controller. In this

instance you can leave them blank, however you will not be able to use them in

game. Pause Menu is a good one not to map, as the ESCAPE key has the same

function in game.

VI. Performance Issues

--------------------------------------------

Overlord requires at least 512 MB of RAM and a 2.4 Ghz processor. The

performance of the game will improve if you have more RAM, a faster processor

and graphics card. Regardless of your machine specs, you can maximise your

available memory and increase the overall performance of the game by doing the

following:

Shut down all non-essential Windows programs especially online

chat programs, virus checkers and screen layout utilities.

Regularly defragment your hard drive.

Increase your amount of free hard drive space.

If you are experiencing poor performance on a low-end graphics card (see the

ordered list of cards above)...

Reduce the game resolution in the Overlord Configuration program to 800x600

or lower.

Select "Custom" in the Video tab of the Overlord Configuration program and

turn off or set to Low the various options, particularly:

Shadows

View Distance

Soil Cover

Turning these options on again one by one will reveal which are causing the

problems, and

this will allow you to get the most from your card.

Always ensure you are using up-to-date drivers for your graphics card:

For nVidia cards, download drivers from: www.nvidia.com/drivers

VII. Known Issues

--------------------------------------------

Using low-end graphics cards (in particular the ATi Radeon 9600 SE) you may

experience graphical issues on certain levels when playing using the default

settings. To fix these issues use the custom detail settings in the Overlord

Configuration tool: set all options to Low or Off, and ensure the screen

resolution is set to 800x600 or lower.

Always ensure you are using up-to-date drivers for your graphics card:

וואו, תודה משחק שווה טילים, שיחקתי לבנתיים 5 דקות משחק סוס.

אני מוריד תמשחק Overlord Demo נראה משחק טוב...

אבל זה מוריד לי על 120KB גג ויש לי 3 מגה... למישהו יש לינק טיפה יותר מהיר?

ותגידו זה ירוץ לי על הגדרו בנוניות עם המפרט הזה:
