    זה לא ממש חדש, למעשה המעבד הושק כבר לפני יותר מחצי שנה ברביעי באוגוסט 04 בשביל שוק הOEM (חברות שמוכרות מחשבים מורכבים כמו Dell, IBM וכו') בלבד ונראה לראשונה בסרבר של IBM. מאז רואים כאלה מעבדים ביפן. עם זאת, אינטל הודיעה שהיא לא תוציא מעבדים עם EM64T (ולא EMT64) עד שתצא גרסת חלונות XP 64.

    Intel Pentium 4 EM64T 3.6Ghz CPU was released on August 4th for the OEM market only (first appeared in an IBM server). Intel have stated that it will not release a retail version of this CPU until Microsoft releases it's editions of 64-bit Windows, although retail versions have been spotted in Japan. The CPU is a Prescott core with the EM64T logic enabled.
