i got a plextor premium burner, and been having a problem with it for the past couple of weeks:

all burns run ok, but after 50% of burning @ 30+, it usually stops for a sec, and resumes @ x20/x16 till the end of the burn.

i have tried to burn in both windows and linux, and got the same result.

also, tried different media types.

what could be the problem (other than defective burner), PSU issues perhaps ? (got a 400W PSU).

any help would be greatly appreciated :)

p.s. the burner is capable of x52 burns, and i have gotten x52 burns with it in the past.
