HD חדש, עכשיו בWIN XP יש אפשרות לחלוקת מחיצות, ויש שם מספר אפשרויות:

1. primary partition

2. extended partition

3. logical drive

מה ההבדל ביניהם ??? ואיך כדאי לחלק HD שעליו מותקנת מערכת הפעלה? (למשל כונן C צריך להיות PRIMARY אבל כונן X, גם PRIMARY? או אולי EXTENDED?)

    עדיף Primery למקרה שתרצה יום אחד להשתמש במחיצה השניה ל multi boot

    logical drive אפשר ליצור רק בתוך extended partition

    extended partitioin יוצרים כדי לחלק למחיצות logical drive

    הסיבה לקיום של extended/logical היא שיש מגבלה של 4 מחיצות primery על דיסק (או 3 primery ועוד אחת extended).

    אפשר להפוך את הדיסק לדינאמי אם יש לך וינדוס 2000 או XP Pro, אז אפשר ליצור בדיסק volumes ללא שום מגבלות כמותיות, אבל הכונן יהיה לא קריא לוינדוס 9x/xp home אפילו אם המחיצות מפורמטות ב FAT32.
