יש לי בקר IDE (בלי RAID) של PROMISE

לאותה חברה יש גם בקר יקר יותר שנקרא

Fastrak 100TX2

שכולל גם אופציה לRAID 0,1.

באתר של PROMISE, התמונות של שני הכרטיסים נראות זהות לחלוטין, למעט השם שכתוב על המעגל המודפס. לשני הכרטיסים ניתן לבצע עדכון של הFIRMWARE.

ישר קפצה לי לראש השאלה מה יקרה אם אני אעדכן את הFIRMWARE של הכרטיס שלי, לזה של האחר, שגם תומך בRAID. האם זה יעבוד לדעתכם? האם אני אצליח להפוך את הכבש שלי לזאב?

ויותר חשוב, אם זה לא יצליח, האם אני אצליח לצרוב בחזרה את הFIRMWARE הקודם, או שהכרטיס יידפק לגמרי?
