אז כן אם HD6970 באמת יבוסס 1920SP אז אנטילס יהיה מבוסס 3840SP ובארכיטקטורה הזאת זה מאודדדד מאוד חזק.

ראיתי עכשיו שהמחיר של 6850 דלף - 175 דולר, לא רע בכלל... נקווה לראות מחירים באיזור ה-900-1000 בארץ

According to some fresh rumours, Nvidia is working on a new GPU that should counter the HD 6900 series. According to the info, the GTX 580 will show up in December and should be based on the 40nm GF110 GPU, an improved version of the well known and not very succesful GF100 GPU.

The GF110 based GTX 580 should be an improved GF100 GPU with 512 CUDA cores and 128 texture units, which should end up as a decent improvement compared to the GF100. The rumoured card should be equipped with 2GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 512-bit memory interface.

The two main questions are the TDP and the actual price of such a card. As you already know, AMD will have its Cayman based HD 6900 cards ready by the end of November, which means that Nvidia will be late and according to what we can guess from these specs, Nvidia's new card will probably end up more expensive. The rumoured TDP places the GTX 580 "close" to GTX 480, and it will need one 6-pin and one 8-pin PCI-Express connector.

The TDP is not a big issue as we already know that Cayman XT will end up with similar "sub-300W" TDP and will need a same 6-pin + 8-pin power connectors. This leaves Nvidia some breathing room, at least if the card ends up to be as good as Nvidia hopes. Of course, this means that AMD will get some competition from the green team and that should hopefully be a good thing for the market as the prices will eventually go down.

אני לא יודע אם זה יותר פטתי עלוב או סתם מהלך מטומטם

אבל מה שקורה זה שבעצם הם החליטו לאפשר את כל הGF100 לליבה המסורבלת והמגושמת שכבר ראינו הצצות אליה

אבל בגלל שAMD RADEON התקדמו למספר גבוה יותר החבר'ה בNVIDIA נעלבים ולא ישיקו את GTX480 בגרסא מלאה כמו GTX485 או GTX490

אלא פשוט יקראו לו GTX580 כאילו זה איזה משהו חדש, עלוב...

דובר שם על ארכיטקטורה מחודשת (GF110) ולא GF100. לא ראיתי אותך מתלונן על GF104 למשל. ולא ראיתי אותך מתלונן על ה-rebrandings

ש-AMD עושים מסדרה 5000 ל-6000. בכל מקרה זו רק שמועה, על מה אתה כועס פתאום ?

לא מעט אני רואה מעריצי AMD/ATI בטוחים שהם מבינים יותר ממהנדסי ה-GPU של אנוידיה. <-- עכשיו זה פתטי.

למה שאתלונן על GF104? כי אתה רוצה לנסות להוכיח לי שאני מתלונן על כל דבר?

פתאום לקפוץ לGTX580 ולהמשיך לבלבל אנשים זה מהלך קצת פטתי, בטח שהם יבחרו לעשות את זה כשHD6000 מושקים, יש להם זיעה על הפנים לצאת ולתת משהו לא משנה מה העיקר שיהיה משהו

יפה שעד שAMD עושים ריברנד הכלבים של NVIDIA קופצים על הטרף בשלל טענות, ועם כל הכבוד למהנדסים של NVIDIA תסתכל על הצלחתה של GF100 ותסתכל על שיווק של מעל ל25 מליון כרטיסי DX11 בשנה האחרונה מAMD, הלקוחות מצביעים בארנק

יותר בכיוון של למה אתה מתלונן על ליבה שאתה לא מכיר, ושאין שום נתון רשמי לגביה ?

The picture for the Graphics division of AMD isn’t as good as the Computer Solutions’ nor does it look as good compared to last quarter. Their graphics revenue decreased 11% quarter over quarter, but was still up 33% compared to the same quarter a year ago. This was mostly due in part to the fact that AMD had a decrease in both shipments and ASP of those GPUs. Operating income was down to $1M from $33M in 2Q 2010. This is somewhat alarming as this reflects a 97% decrease in operating income for the division. This may be due in part to the fact that nVidia finally began to ramp up their Fermi product offerings as well as their mid-range offerings most notably the GeForce GTX 460. This drove AMD to cut prices and actually triggered somewhat of a price war between the two companies with each lowering their prices to undercut the other. The consumer typically benefits the most out of these kinds of situations.
