יש גם כוננים בחיבור eSATA ובחיבורים אחרים. אבל כן, USB מספק חשמל לכונני 2.5 אינצ'ים. קח בחשבון שלפעמים הכונן לא מקבל מספיק חשמל ולכן יש צורך בכבל מפצל.

    לא כולם. חיבור ללא ספק חשמל זה היתרון השימושי והשיווקי שלהם (אבל חסרון מבחינת אמינות ותקינות).
