כן.

באותה צורה שאתה ניגש לכל מסד נתונים אחר.

בעקרון יש גם namespace שפותח במיוחד לגישה לMySQL, שנותנים גישה מהירה יותר, וגם עם פעולות ספציפיות שאפשר לעשות על הסוג הזה של DB (המחלקות נכתבו ספציפית בשביל הסוג הזה של מסד נתונים, ולכן יעילות יותר בפעולות מולו מאשר המחלקות הסטנדרטיות של מיקרוסופט לגישה למסדי נתונים).

תוכל למצוא פה http://bitdaddys.com/MySQL-ConnectorNet.html דוגמא קטנה לאיך להתחבר לMySQL בעזרת המחלקות שהם נותנים להוריד.

יש שם גם לינק למקום שממנו אתה יכול להוריד את המחלקות, כדי שתוכל להשתמש בהן.

בקשר לפורטים שצריך לפתוח... זה שרת שהתקנת על המחשב שלך? אם כן אתה יכול להגדיר לו באיזה פורט להאזין.

אם אתה משתמש בשרת מרוחק, אז תשאל את מי שהתקין/הגדיר לך את הDB באיזה פורט הוא משתמש.

מצאתי ופתחתי את הפורט המתאים והשרת פעיל.

אבל אני עדיין מקבל שגיאה...
