Hi, sorry to be typing in English... my command of the Hebrew Keyboard is still pretty poor. I just got to Yerushalayim from Toronto. I brought my computer with me thinking that I'd reassemble it when I got here. It would have been ok if not for the fact that my motherboard died on the trip. I can't afford a new computer right now and I'm having trouble finding a replacement for this mobo in the stores becaause it's 5 years old. I'm hoping that MAYBE someone in the Israeli enthusiast community will have a suitable replacement I can have or buy.

My motherboard, zichrono lebracha was a Gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro 2 v2.0 if anyone has this board or a similar board based on the nVidia GeForce 2 Ultra 400, or knows where I could get one, I'd LOVE to hear from you. Please contact me at my forum email address.

שלומום תגיד אתה לא חושב שאם יש לו חומרה ישנה אז בטח יש לו חיבור AGP ואז אם הוא קונה לוח הוא צריך לקנות אחד עם כרטיס מסך מובנה או לקנות כרטיס מסך חלש בנפרד? לפי מה שהבנתי אין לו עכשיו את כול הכסף שבעולם בשביל מחשב (בדוגרי הוא רק עבר לא מזמן לירושלים מקנדה אז...)

לא חשבתי שנושא הכרטיס מסך קריטי (כי המחשב ישן), התכוונתי ללוח בסיסי חדש עם כרטיס מסך OB.

בכל מקרה יש ב TradeZone מישהו שמוכר לוח Socket-A ב 200 ש"ח (אם זה רלוונטי)

I neglected to mention that I also need a monitor, and that I like to Play HL2 and WoW from time to time, so a video card is necessary. Also, If I'm building a new system then I'll want a new system drive, keeping my existing drive ready in the hopes that I will soon find a replacement mobo and rebuild my current/old system.

I saw the motherboard for sale on TradeZone. It' might work, but it's a bit pricey for such an old, basic board.

To clarify: I'd MUCH rather get just a replacement motherboad., but I can't wait too long on this as I need a computer if I want to work. Given that I don't have any mobo prospects on the horizon just yet I'm speculating on a new system, despite the fact that I can't presently afford it.

Also, I spoke to a friend, and he has a Socket A computer I can borrow on Moshav Mevo Modi'in. It's a bit of a schlepp, but I'm gonna go check it out this week.
