Diablo הופך לסרט?

Back in May of last year Blizzard announced they were teaming up with Legendary pictures to make the first Warcraft movie. No other details have come to light since then, not even on the rumour mill. But that's Warcraft and as rich as the universe is it's not Diablo and that's what you guys are really interested in. SarumanTheChef brings what could be good news then. A recent article on Hollywoodreporter.com on a movie "The Book of Eli' mentions its script writer, a Gary Whitta. At the end of the article, almost in passing it says:

"Whitta, who is writing "Diablo" for Legendary and Blizzard Entertainment, is repped by UTA, Circle of Confusion and attorney Howard Abramson."

If this isn't an error where the reporter meant Warcraft it seems the cat's out the bag. Gary Whitta certainly appears to have the credentials to create a screenplay for Diablo. You can see a list of screenplays he's worked on and is working on on his own site and he's already written for Blizzard with a Starcraft sample fiction.
