If the Dell XPS M2010 isn't within price range, you could take a Dell M1710 and add some serious modifications to it at that price.

I suggest you talk with Dell agents first as they have specific codes that can decrease the cost of specific laptops, thus allowing you more benefit, even getting the M2010 and improving it at a price range of 2600$.
