I just installed Linux Mandrake 8.2... Im kind of a newbie so bare with me.

What programs, or actions do you recommend doing after installing linux?

Btw, how do I install Hebrew support, and, why do I get like 5 popups when trying to enter a site that has flash? (Im using Konqueror right now)

Try securing the box, removing useless daemons you don't use.

Hmm, I am trying to install xChat but it keeps saying I need Perl-Base... What do I do?

look for it at

www.cpan.org and then just install it as root (./configure ; make ; make install)

Every program that I download say it needs some dependencies I don't have... How can I get some Extras from the net? - Or, where can I download the 2nd disc of Mdk8.2? - I cannot find it on Mdk.com.

Btw, I can read Hebrew, but I cannot write. (Hebrew replies are welcome)
