אתה יכול בבקשה להסתכל עליו ולהגיד אם זה דומה\שונה כי אני מניח שלא צריכים להיות ממש הבדלים.

אני רק צריך לציין שמה שזה עושה זה מוסיף SESSION חדש ואפשר לבחור ככה מה רוצים, XGL או רגיל.

אני לא ממש זוכר מי-מה-מו מההתקנה כבר... פשוט הלכתי לפי ההוראות וזה עבד...

אני בטוח שבפורומים של xgl ו/או של ubuntu ו/או בערוצי תמיכה ב IRC של xgl או של ubuntu-xgl תראה עוד אנשים עם הבעיה שלך ובטוח ששם ידעו לעזור לך יותר.

ראיתי משהו דומה לזה אצל חבר שלי בווינדוס

XGL זה רק הבסיס, אתה צריך להתקין את compiz בשביל האפקטים עצמם:

וכן אני רואה... וכן אפשר לעשות את זה בלי בעיה גם ב windows 2000 ומעלה, שיש תמיכה בשקיפות (אם כי צריך תוכנה שתאפשר את זה).

אז צריך להתקין גם xgl וגם compiz בשביל שהאפקטים יעבוד?

לא אהבתי את הקטע שכל דבר קופץ, אפשר לבטל אותו?

xgl לבד לא נותן לך כלום... זה רק בסיס ל server שמתקשר עם הכרטיס מסך..

compiz עושה את כל הקסם, ואמרתי כבר שעם gset-compiz אפשר לשנות הכל, לבטל מה שלא רוצים וכו'...

לא נראה לי שהתקנתי מקודם את xgl בכל מקרה ניסיתי להתקין הכל מחדש

אז התקנתי את ה xgl לפי https://help.ubuntu.com/community/CompositeManager/Xgl??

אבל אחרי כמה שניות המערכת מתנתקת וחוזרת למסך של ה login (כמו שלחוצים על ctrl+alt+backspace)

יכול להיות שלא התקנתי את זה טוב?

בינתים כדי שזה יעבוד מחקתי מהקובץ הזה את ה 5 השורות האחרונות

אני השמתשתי ב method a שם, לא ב method b.

תגיד, התקנת את הדריברים של nvidia ?

ב xorg.conf איזה דריבר אתה משתמש שם ?

כן התקנתי את הדריבר

ואיפה xorg.conf נמצא?

נראה לי ב /etc/X11 ?

אולי באמת בשיטה הזו לא צריך לשנות את זה.. תסתכל למטה בכל מקרה ב discussion בעמוד שהבאת....

אצלי הכל עובד, אבל זה כבד כזה..כשרק מפעילים את המחשב זה בסדר, אבל בהמשך צריכת הזכרון עולה כל הזמן.. דליפת זכרון?

כרגע יש לי 300 מגה בשימוש רק עם FF פתוח.. וה CPU יורד מתחת ל 60% רק אם אני לא נוגע בכלום במשך דקה..

לדעתי זה קצת הרבה...
