החל מה-26 ליולי אם תרצו לשחק ב-Counter Strike תהיו חייבים להשתמש בגירסה 1.6!  :P

אם אתם משתמשים בגירסה 1.5 ואין לכם חשבון Steam (המערכת של Valve) אז אכלתם אותה!  :-X

Valve החליטו לזרוק את רשת Won לפח, גירסה 1.5 רצה על שרתי Won ולכן עקב סגירתם היא תיעלם. גירסה 1.6 רצה על שרתי Steam!

כמו כן Valve החליטו שכל אדם שברשותו Half-Life מקורי ולא פתח חשבון ב-Steam לא יוכל יותר לפתוח חשבון ע"י serial של Half-life המקורי (למעשה זה נכון כבר לחודש האחרון ואפילו קצת לפני - לכן הרבה אנשים לא יכלו לפתוח חשבון ב-Steam) ,אלא יהיה חייב לרכוש את half-Life2 או את Condition Zero ורק איתו יוכל לפתוח חשבון ב-steam(כל אלה שכבר יש להם חשבון עם Half-Life המקורי אז סבבה להם, עליהם אין השפעה ;D )
