Logitech G900 Mouse Won't Charge - Whether Off or On

Hi,

 

So, I just received the mouse and for some odd reason it won't charge. I tried different cables and USB connections and PCs, but to no avail. When the mouse is turned off and connected to the PC, the charging lights work, but when I turn it on again and open the

software, it goes bonkers. Going from 65% to 82% to 75% and when connected again it says it's fully charged. What can be done?

 

**update: 

I actually already updated the mouse's firmware, but unfortunately it didn't help. 

I am trying to drain the battery at the moment in order to check whether it's really not charging or it's only the program not recognizing the fact that the mouse is being charged. (I already completely deleted the Logitech Gaming Software and reinstalled)**
