    אם אתה מדבר על הפתיל שבין המחשב לשקע, אז לא, אין הבדל כי הכבל קצר.

    גם בהשחלה בקירות, אם יש לך כבל CAT5E איכותי והמרחק לא ארוך מידי, סביר מאד להניח שתקבל 1G (בהנחה שהסוויצ' וכרטיס הרשת תומכים במהירות הנ"ל).
