I recently started having a weird internet speed and latency problem. Basically when torrents are not running everything's peachy. Everything seems to work great and spedtest.net shows the speed that I'm supposed to have (2.5M).

The problems starts when I run torrents. Even when torrent speed is limited to something ridiculous such as 50KB everything else is terribly slow, to the point that gmail often times out.

When torrents are running what speedtest.net is showing is very very far from the rest of my bandwidth.

I suspect bad traffic shaping.

Anybody had similar problems recently?

הייתי עד לפני חודש בנטוויזן עם גיימר 30 מגה, עברתי ל-בזק בינלאומי עקב ה"חבלות" שהם עושים שטורנטים פשוט לא זזים אצלהם...

תעבור לאקספון או בזק בינלאומי ותראה שיפור אדיר...

Netvision is what I get from my employer, so switching to another provider is not an easy option.

Just to note that torrents actually do work. Well, I get about half the speed I'm supposed to when downloading torrents but I can leave with this. The problem is that pretty much everything else stops working almost entirely when the there is a torrent download even at a very low speed.

עם נטוויזן תמיד מקבלים 50% מהמהירות בטורנטים... למה? שאלה טובה... אם תחכה מספיק זמן אולי תקבל 75% מהמהירות...

אם זה לא בא בחשבון להחליף ספקית אין לי מה לומר לך... גם גיימר לא יעזור בעניין...
