אני מחפש מדפסת משולבת (סורק, פקס) עם עלויות הדפסה נמוכות, בתקציב של סביב 500 ש"ח, שיכולה להתחבר לרשת הביתית.

אני לא מדפיס הרבה דפים, אולי דף פעם בכמה ימים, לעתים רחוקות צבעוני, לרוב שחור לבן, ומדי פעם אני מדפיס כמויות גדולות יותר (נגיד פעם בחודש הדפסה גדולה יחסית של 70 דפים בבת אחת)

הבנתי של-brother עלויות הדיו הכי נמוכות, האם זה נכון? מה בדבר הטכנולוגיה החדשה של HP שאמורה לחסוך עלויות?

אני אשמח אם לא אהיה חייב להדפיס פעם בשבוע-שבועיים כדי למנוע התייבשות הדיו...

או שמא בכלל עדיף לי לייזר? המחירים של לייזר היום כבר די סבירים... ???

אה, וחשוב לי גם שהסורק יהיה איכותי (עומק סיבית גבוה).

בדיוק קניתי שבוע שעבר HP Officejet 4500 רגילה (יש גירסה אלחוטית) כוללת גם פקס וסורק - עלתה במבצע באופיס דיפו 370 ש"ח.

אחלה מדפסת, נוחה וקלה לשימוש ויש לה חיבור לרשת קווית.

תיכנס לזאפ או לאתר של HP ותבדוק את המפרט שלה אם היא מתאימה לך.

מבחינת ראשי דיו המחירים לא כאלה יקרים - באיזור ה90 ש"ח למקורי (שחור - יש מחסנית XL ב160 ש"ח) וכ130 ש"ח (+/- לא זוכר את המחיר המדוייק למחסנית צבע)

כמה דפים אפשר להדפיס עם ראש דיו אחד כזה?

ומה ההבדל לעומת ראש דיו של brother?

למה קנית דווקא אותה?

למה HP? היה לי עד עכשיו OFFICEJET 5510 שהחזיקה 6 שנים ועלתה בזמנו 1000 ש"ח - לא איכזבה אותי בעבר ובסה"כ יש עליה ביקורות טובות

ראשי ה-XL נותנים עלויות של כ-5 אגורות לדף שחור לבן ו-17 אגורות לדף צבע.

הנה עבודה שעשיתי לאחי שהשוותה מודל של HP מול BROTEHR.

המחירים נלקחו מזאפ לפני חודש עד חודשיים.

המודלים המדוברים יקרים יותר (בסביבות 1000 ש"ח) אבל מה שקובע אלו ראשי הדיו.

HP has 3 levels:

A909a - basic LCD (2 text lines), no Wireless, no digital sending functions (scan to email, fax to email, etc.) - Zap: 840 NIS and up

A909g - color LCD for pictures, larger scanner ("legal" page size, 14" length, vs 11" for "letter" page size), digital sender functions - Zap - 1140 NIS and up

A909n - extra tray, extra set of ink cartridges

Please note that duplex printing info is contradictory. according to some references it is available in all models (look for "duplex printing - standard" in all specs)

In other places A909n is specified as having the base model plus two-sided printing (among other extra features)

Also note that in the basic HP model, although the glass allows you to scan only "letter" size, the sheet feeder allows you can scan "legal" size.

Comparison:

Both printers are pretty much comparable, with the Brother (other than the A3 feature) being somewhere between the basic HP model and the Wifi model.

HP better than Brother:

Cheaper printer (if base model is taken), lower consumerable cost

Future proof (HP is PCL printer - works with a generic driver, Brother is a GDI printer and needs specific O/S driver, e.g. old GDI printers today may not have a Windows 7 driver, so current model GDI printers might not have a driver for future OS).

Legal size scan glass (only in g/n model (Wifi) )

Better digital sender (fax archive to email feature)

Brother better than HP

A3 printing,

digital sender functions (available in HP only in g/n models above)

LCD screen (available in HP only in g/n models above)

Ink cost analysis:

HP has normal "940" cartridges, and 50% bigger, "940XL" cartridges. Part numbers for the normal ones are:

940 series:

C4902AN Black (1000 pages) - Zap: 107-124 NIS

C4903AN through CN4905AN for CMY colors (one each) (900 pages) (Not found in ZAP)

940XL series

C4906AN Black (2200 pages) - Zap: 120-189 NIS

C4907AN through CN4909AN for CMY colors (one each) (1400 pages) - Zap 77/80/81 - 128NIS (there were different lowest prices for different colors)

So best per page cost for is:

Color is (77+80+81)/1400 (= 0.17 NIS/page) using 940XL series cartridges

B/W is 120/2200 = 0.055 NIS/Page

I believe actual color page cost is higher because they probably also use black ink as well.

Brother also has two types (normal, High yield that are twice as big).

LC1100HYBK, LC1100HYC, LC1100HYM, LC1100HYY, LC1100BK, LC1100C, LC1100M, LC1100Y (HY==high yield, BK=black, C/M/Y=cyan/magenta/yellow)

To confuse matters further, the above are EU part number. There are identical USA part numbers:

LC65HYBK, LC65HYC, LC65HYM, LC65HYY -> High yield BK/C/M/Y

LC61HYBK, LC61HYC, LC61HYM, LC61HYY -> High yield BK/C/M/Y

High yield are 900 pages for BK, 750 for color (Zap: 180-215 for Black, 82-97 for color) - Zap had one LC1100HYBK at 42 NIS, but I believe this is a mistake since the next one up is 180 NIS.

Normal are 450 for black, 325 for color. (Zap: 109-209 for Black, 58-88 for color)

So best per page cost for is:

Color is 82*3/750 (= 0.33 NIS/page) using High Yield cartridges

B/W is 180/900 = 0.2 NIS/Page

I believe actual color page cost is higher because they probably also use black ink as well.

You can compare the page prices using the above numbers on zap, and you will see that HP is significantly cheaper.
