קיצר שלחתי להם מייל שמתאר את הבעיה שלי והם החזירו לי את המייל הבא:

תקראו ;) אפשר גם לשים "סטיקי" זה יעזור לכולם...

thank you for your e-mail.

Power calibration is controlled by the disc recorder. Before any burn operation,

all disc recorders must perform a 15-step power test to determine the optimum

power for writing to the disk – this process is called "Optimum Power

Calibration" (OPC). During the burn process, the disc recorder continues to

perform this test to get the best burn results throughout the entire disc –

this process is called "Running Optimum Power Calibration" (ROPC). The process

is controlled by the disc recorder but it is initiated by programs such as

Nero. An area in the inner part of the disc is available for this test; it can

also store test data info. This area can be used up to 999 times.

If you receive the "Power Calibration Error" or "Power Calibration Area full"

error message, then the cause will be either incompatible or damaged media,

poor power, or a defective disc recorder.

The problem can usually be solved by taking the following steps:

1.

To solve the problem, it is necessary that you install the latest firmware for

your disc recorder. Proceed as follows to find out the exact name of your disc

recorder and your firmware version with the Nero InfoTool:

In the start menu, click "Start" and subsequently select the following

entries:

For Nero 9:

"All Programs"-"Nero"-"Nero 9"-" Nero Toolkit"-"Nero InfoTool"

For Nero 8:

"All Programs"-"Nero 8"-"Toolkit"-"Nero InfoTool"

For Nero 7:

"All Programs"-"Nero 7"-"Tools"-"Nero InfoTool"

For Nero 6:

"All Programs"-"Nero"-"Nero Toolkit"-"Nero InfoTool"

-> The Nero InfoTool starts its search.

After the Nero InfoTool window has opened, make sure that your disc recorder is

listed in the top-left drop-down menu. You may have to select your recorder in

this menu.

-> The manufacturer and the model of the recorder are being displayed.

Write down these specifications. Then click the "Drive" tab.

-> In the top-right of the window you will see the firmware version.

Compare the displayed version with the information that is available on the Web

site of the disc recorder manufacturer to see if a firmware upgrade is

available for your disc recorder.

If you do not have the current version, contact the disc recorder manufacturer

to get the latest software for your model.

Older firmware can cause compatibility problems as well as burn failures.

Firmware upgrades for your recorder are only provided by the disc recorder

manufacturer.

All firmware upgrades and support for upgrading your recorder's firmware must be

provided by either the disc recorder manufacturer or the OEM from whom you

purchased your disc recorder. Unfortunately, we cannot be of further assistance

in this matter.

Legal disclaimer:

"Nero AG is not liable for firmware updates as these updates are not offered by

Nero AG. All updates are performed at one's own risk. Nero AG will not be

liable for the legality of the firmware."

2.

Try burning with different media brands. For example: TDK, Verbatim, Imation,

Yamaha, , etc. Also contact the manufacturer of your disc recorder and ask

which particular media it recommends for your disc recorder.

3.

Try different power cables. Do not share power for your disc recorder with other

devices – the disc recorder needs its own power cable. If the problem occurs

with an external disc recorder then check the power source in the case. Take

the disc recorder out of the external case and connect the disc recorder

internally to see if that solves the problem.

4.

If you are using a IDE/P-ATA disc recorder then try connecting the drives in a

different configuration, i.e. connecting the disc drive to the primary bus and

setting the disc recorder you are using to "Master" on the secondary bus

instead of running them as master and slave on one bus.

(If you have an old IDE cable we recommend that you exchange it for a ATA-133 80

wire cable).

5.

Defective disc recorder - the optical head on your disc recorder may need

cleaning or servicing. It is also possible that the circuit board on your disc

recorder has an open coil or blown diode/resistor. Any one of these factors

could cause burn problems. The only solution with any of these problems is to

send the disc recorder to the manufacturer for service.

Should you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us again.

Best Regards
