על RAID יש הסבר ב-הודעות נבחרות (FAQ) שבפורום אמצעי אחסון. [אם כי נראה לי שצריך לעדכן ולתקן שם קצת :)]

לגבי כרטיס ההרחבה- אם הוא מתחבר ב-PCI/PCI-E אז אין בעיה. הסבר: על הלוח יש חיבורים בשביל להרחיב את כמות היציאות, כך בעצם משמישים יציאות USB/Firewire שבפאנל המארז למשל. אם הכרטיס הזה לא באמת מתחבר ל-PCI אלא סתם תלוי באוויר ומשמיש את החיבורים שעל הלוח, אז יתכן שאין מספיק חיבורים בלוח בשביל שתשתמשי בכל ששת החיבורים.
