    Ethernet הוא תקן\פרוטוקול להעברה וחיבור מחשבים והצורה שבה הם מתקשרים ביניהם.

    Bluetooth הינו ממשק פריפארילי לחיבור אלחוטי של אביזרים שונים, למרחק של כמה מטרים בודדים ובעל קצב תעבורה נמוך מאוד

    (1-2Mbps), הוא נועד לחיבור אביזרים אשר אינם דורשים רוחב פס אך אם זאת מבטל את הצורך בחוטים

    לדוגמא: מקלדת ועכבר, אוזניה לנייד וכדומה.

    WiFi הינו ארגון לא רווחי אשר מטרתו היא לאגד ולקבוע תקנים בתחום הרשתות האלחוטיות.

    WLAN או 802.11 הינו תקן\פרוטוקול תעבורה על גבי גלי רדיו (אלחוט), ומשמש לחיבור ויצירת רשתות Ethernet אלחוטיות.

    הוא משדר למרחק רב יחסית (upto 100m indoor or 300m outdor) ובעל קצב תעבורה גבוה יותר (עד 100Mbps היום!!!).
