    למעשה העליון הוא לא STP אלא FTP - ר"ת של Foil [shielded] Twisted Pair.

    זאת הגנה פחותה ממה שSTP מספק נגד רעשי רקע.

    רוב הכבלים שנמכרים הם FTP שטובים לכל שימוש ביתי, פרט אולי להשחלה בתעלות בצמוד לכבלי חשמל.
