when connecting the mother board to the cpu and everything else

I turn on the comuter and everything seems to be ok

but the screen wont turn on

I connected the screen to a voodoo in a PCI slot

Does the computer beeps normaly ?

Does it beeps at all ?

Try removing and reinstalling the voodoo and the memory.

no beeping at all

i tried taking out the voodoo and memory several times

didnt help

if you have by any chance a different piece of ram try swapping with the one inside.

1.plug the power to all of the drives (DVD etc.)

2.Remove the memory and all the cards on the expantion slots.

3.Keep only the PSU connector to the board connected.

4.Now turn the comp on.

5.If it is beeping like hell than the board is ok.

6.sart connecting the drives one by one (after connecting one - turn the comp to see if it turning on, never mind the beeping).

7.Connect the rest of the card one by one.

If all of the components are ok the comp should work correctly.

What kind of Voodoo do you have?

If it's a Voodoo 2 then you can't use it as a normal card.

Can you please write-down your spec?

athlon, voodoo3 2000

same thing with a gforce3 AGP

Have you tired booting it only with simple configuration?

I mean only the mobo, ram, cpu and video card.(and please post their make and model)

Have you checked that your cpu fan is connected to fan headr #1 on your mobo?

It has nothing to do with his problem, the only thing which you should care about when building a comp is to connect the Power Switch(incase you are using an ATX PSU) and the PC Speaker if you need to troubelshoot you board/parts.

What is you PSU model and watt?

I know that your particular mobo model has problem working with unkown psu or ones which are less then 350 WATT and my info about this issue is from Ligad(the main importer of asus products).

I have some unknown ATX 300W PSU

though i fail to see the connection between this and the fact that the screen wont turn on

I doubt these things are related

there's a possibility that you'll have to RMA your motherboard . it might be a non working one .

1. תבדוק טוב עים חיברתה את חיבור הדלקת הלוח נכון ללחצן במארז.

2. תיקנה ספק חזק עים הספק אמיתי של יותר מ 300 וואט אחרת הלוח הזה לא ידלק ויעבוד כמו שצריך ואל תחליף אותו סתם כי תקבל לוח משומש שעבר תיקון במקומו קודם תחליף ספק בכדי לפסול את האפשרות שהספק שלך חלש מידי ללוח.

3. התשובה של אטלון נכונה ואני המקור שלו בנושא (אני משווק של ליגד ועידכנתי אותו בנושא) אכן לוח זה לא נידלק עד שלא מחברים אליו ספק חזק עים הספק אמיתי

של 300 ווט ומעלה אחרת פשוט הספק לא מניע את הלוח.

4. אתה יכול גם לנסות להדליק את הלוח רק עים מעבד וכרטיס מסך חלש מאוד PCI שלא דורש זרם מהספק ויתכן שהו א ידלק לך !!

כי כמה שפחות ציוד זולל זרם מחובר כך גדל הסיכוי שיהיה לך מספיק זרם להתנעה.

5. תתיעץ גם עים אורן מזיגזג והוא גם יגיד לך שהבעיה בספק הארור !!!

תקנו כבר ספקים נורמלים ולא ספקי קבר שהיבואן הזמין מסין עים מדבקה של 300 וואט בשביל הרושם ובפועל הספק הוא 230-200 וואט.

קנית לוח מעולה !! שצריך ספק מעולה !!!
