הכרטיס לא משתמש בזכרון של המחשב אלא בזכרון עצמאי, ולכן הוא "לא ONBOARD", אבל אל תיקח את המושג הזה מילולית, שכן הליבה והזכרונות אכן נמצאים על הלוח (מולחמים)
