AMD חתמה על הסכם עם חברה ישראלית שעבדה עבור אינטל, ביום האחרון ל-2007.

תחת החוזה, הצ'יפסט שהחברה (Commex) תייצר עבור מעבדים מרובי-ליבה, יופץ יחד עם המעבדים של AMD, וזאת על-מנת לשפר את ביצועיהם.

עיתון "גלובס" דיווח כי AMD חתמה על הסכם עם החברה הישראלית קומקס (Commex). לחברה היו קשרים קודמים על אינטל.

העיתון הוסיף ואמר שמנהל החברה - טל הורוביץ, עבד באינטל חיפה, והיה חבר וותיק בפיתוח המעבדים הכפולי ליבה שם.

מטרתו של הורוביץ היא שוק השרתים, לא שוק הניידים.
