Nintendo UK to Japan bosses: Send us your Wii's in jumbo jets!

In a story that seems to have gone under the radar, Nintendo has resorted to flying in thousands of Wii consoles from Japan to meet demand in the UK. Rob Saunders, Nintendo's chief in the UK, asked Japanese bosses to fly in jumbo jets full of Wii's to solve the shortage problems.

Brits head to France to buy Nintendo Wii

UK papers are reporting that shoppers are traveling to Calais in France to get their hands on a Wii. Shopping centers in the town say that queues of British shoppers are forming everyday to get the console. Shops have set a limit of one Wii per customer. A Micromania spokesman said: "English interest is phenomenal."
