My current 3dmarkSE grade is 4737.. I remember it was 8500+ with the same system..

games performe bad as well.. with a little action on/off screen frame rate drops to 4-fps..

not seposed to be this way with my system.. i know ppl with much worst puters running the games without a problem.. all drivers updated.. DX9..

I heard something about needing to install dx9 b4 video drivers after installing xp.. but i dont think it should have such suvear impact..

any suggestions? mebbe hw screwed? my power supplier tends to get hot.. thats what i know

have u installd the XP SP1?

and do u have all the updated drivers for the MoBo ,graphic, ETC ...

I did all but SP1.. but the fact my drivers are not fully up to date doesnt mean it works 50% and more worst.. dont talk to me about drivers cause drivers are never ever the issue..

my puter makes lotsa buzzing when i boot and also all the time.. and very hot on the upper back part of the case (power supply)..

any original ideas.. some1 who knows a bout hw or something.. plz

the only solution is to format your hard disk

LOL no need to format your hard drive and usually drivers are a big issue aspacially if you are talking about a 3dmark score. but the vga driver is not the one whos playing the big roll here it is the chipset,MOBO drivers check if they are updated.

and about the temperature that you are complaining tell us what is the cpu temp and the system temp and we will tell you if its ok or not, about your powers supply usually all the generic power supply gets really hot because the dont supply the wattage as they should (as written on them). as long as he is doing the job dont worry, though you can check the 12v and the 5v voltages if they are stable +-5%

You mean the "temperature" yea?

if so then go to your bios and there should be an option called "pc health" .

there is a table there wich includes CPU temp SYSTEM temp fans speed etc.

i ran sisoft sandra. bassicly it said my main board is 62C and is seposed to be 50C.. other then that my puter has half the performance it SHOULD have by the comperative benchmark..

can all the performance problems come from over heat??

it could be the reason for the low performance but dont think that it will cut the performance by 50% that isto much.

did you check the voltage in your power supply?

coz if they are not stable taht is your problem.
