When I go to Device Manager and try to enable DMA for my cd-writer it doesn't enable and it stays at PIO mode!! I'm sure that this cd-writer supports UDMA mode 1!

but the M/B doesn't detect it as a UDMA drive!

If I delete the secodary IDE channel and windows installes it again (without restart) then it enables UDMA for my CDRW but when I restart, it returns again to PIO mode!

I tried to install the new IDE driver (ide202) but it just makes it worst!

with the new IDE driver it doesn't enable DMA even for my CD-ROM and uses PIO mode.

Without UDMA I cannot burn at 16x speed and when I burn with 12x it uses 100% CPU!

Please help!!!!

Computer:

Windows XP pro (sp1)

Matsonic MS9317E (SIS 650)

Pentium 4 2000Mhz

256MB SDRAM

HD: Maxxtor 13GB

CD-ROM: standart "50x max"

CD-RW: YAMAHA CRW2100E (16x 10x 40x) - Supports UDMA mode 1!!
