I have a P4 2.53 pc with Radeon 9700 pro by Gigbyte.

every time i run the game (or any other ea game like NBA 2003)

the computer runs the game and restarts it self.

I have the latest Catalyst Drivers and Directx 8.1 and all the latest drivers for every part of my computer.

what should I do?

well, first of all which version of windows do u have?

what version of catalysts do u have? 2.5?

what the specs of u`r machine - mainly what mobo?

Also, what Power Supply do you have?

How are your temperatures?

Radeon 9700 PRO

256 DDR SD-RAM

WIN XP

Catalyst 2.4

Power supply 500 Watt

My temp is fine....

And what the hell is "mobo"?

mobo means motherboard.

what about the card's tempratures?

What are the specs on this so called 500w PSU?

It's probobly some generic thing.

GIGABYTE have serveral versions of the radeon 9700, the old ones have problems with MotherBoards that are working with the VIA400 chipsets - not all mobos...

The site guru of 3d (www.guru3d.com) just made a new review in which they say they had to work with the GFX card and the VIA400 over 3 weeks so they will work, maybe u will find some helpful clues there there.

לדעתי זה בעיה במשחק.

יש לך את הבעייה גם במשחקים אחרים?

עם לא, אז המשחק כנראה זה שלא טוב.

תנסה להעלות את FIFA 2003 ותגיד עם היא עולה לך.

עם כן אז בטוח המשחק דפוק.

Mortar has point. if u have a KT400 based motherboard , and the radeon card revision is under 3, then I'm sorry to tell u that u will have to replace the card.

To check the card revisoin simply look at the card and search for a white square who has "REV X"

( X is the number)

That's right, what i was talking about is the problem of this card in an old revision with KT400 Motherboard.

spirit knight צודק - mortar וחבריו - kt400 הוא לוח אם למעבדי amd בעוד שכל! לוחות האם לפנטיום 4 עובדים מצויין וללא בעיות עם agpX8 ועל כן לא ייתכן שזאת הבעיה (המעבד הוא פנטיום 4).

עם זאת ייתכן שהבעיה בלוח אם לא טוב/משחק לא טוב/ספק לא טוב/כרטיס לא טוב ועל כן יש לבדוק את כל אלו.

עפ"י דעתי עליך להתחיל בהתקנת SP1 אשר מתקנת תאימות משחקים ל-WINXP (עזר לי עם MORROWIND למשל) אחר כך עדכן catalyst ל - 2.5 ובדוק שהדרייברים ללוח האם אכן מעודכנים (באיזה לוח אם מדובר????) אח"כ בדוק גם משחקים אחרים - האם גם בהם יש בעיות?

אם לא הבעיה במשחק - אם כן - האם הכרטיס מחובר למתח מהספק? (של איזה חברה הספק? האם הוא נותן מתחים יציבים?)
