this is a university project i've been working on for some weeks now, and i believe i have it functional by now. what it does is let you either colorize black / white images, or recolorize color images. the user supplies base image and the base image + some scribbles on it (can be done in any image editing program). the program will analyze it and colorize the base image accordingly (see examples attached)

what i'd like you to do is

a - have fun with it

b - see if you can notice any major bugs

notice however that the algorithm is kind of lame, and for good results i suggest both a large amount of scribbles and make sure you're scribbling next to objects' edges - otherwise the colors will blend unnaturally and it'll look like sh*t

also it's kind of slow (about 10 mins for 1024/768 image on a very slow university computer ) so just be prepared.

באמת יפה מאוד.

יש מאמר של כמה אנשים מהאוניבסיטה הפתוחה שמדבר על זה, ועושה את זה גם לוידאו.

OMG זה מדהים, שמעתי על זה אבל עכשיו אני רואה את זה וזה גדול, זה יכול לחסוך הרבה בזמן "צביעה" בפוטו או דברים בסגנון.

אבל הוא לא הבין, כל מה שהוא עושה זה כמו בPS מיזוג שני ליירים...

הנה הקבצים שהשתמשתי בהם, אם אתה רואה משהו לא בסדר בדרך שניסתי להורות לתוכנה איך לצבוע אז תגיד מה בדיוק לא נכון, כיוון שזה לא שונה משני הדרכים שאתה הראת בדוגמאות שלך.

שני התמונות הראשונות הם הscribes שלי, השלישית התוצאה של הscribe השני(התוצאה של הראשון לא שונה ממנה בהרבה) והאחרונה היא המקורית כמובן...

mmm thats wierd, it looks like it didnt change the scribbles at all - are you sure the input is according to the instructions? i.e bw.bmp which is totaly black and white, and s.bmp which is the bw + the scribbles?

here's my take on a similar picture - i attach the input files so you can try them yourself and see if you did everything allright

את השירטוטים יוצרים באחת התוכנות האהובות עלייך (פוטושופ, microsoft paint וכולי) ומכניסים כקלט. כל תוכנה שיכולה להפוך תמונה לgray scale ועם כלי דגימה תהיה נוחה ליצירת תוצאה מרשימה.
