לפני כשבוע הפכתי את המודם שלי לנתב( בכל נתב יש nat?)

הקיצר לא פתחתי לו את הפורטים של הicq אבל עדין אני מצליח לקבל קבצים,

שלפי מה שהבנתי ה nat היה אמור לחסום את זה הרי אני לא יוזם את ההתקשרות (אז איך הנתב יודע לאיזה מחשב לנתב את ההתקשרות?)

ועוד שאלה קטנה למה באימיול אם אני לא פותח את הפורטים שלו ב nat אני מקבל low id?

אני לא מכיר כל כך ICQ, אבל זה משנה באיזה פרוטוקול הוא שולח את הקבצים.

ולגבי האימיול, אם אתה לא פותח את הפורטים הרלוונטים הוא לא מעביר את המזהה שלו.

although ICQ can send massages either through the server or directly to the other client, file transfers are direct (P2P) and although ICQ uses both TCP and UDP, you need to be insane to send anything that is error sensitive with UDP as it got no ack response and no error detection/correction bit(s).

the only way I can explain incoming ICQ file transfers without static port forward or UPnP is that it was the only computer registered on the router's tables (ARP table, to be exact) so it sent it to it, though it's not part of the standard. this is just my assumption, I can't explain it for sure because it shouldn't work...

as far as eMule, first of all let me say eMule (and all its mods and the original edonkey) suck and is only for n00bz. second, the definition of a low ID is that a client can only initiate connections and not listen to incoming connection. meaning people can't download/upload to/from you unless you are the one who initiate the session. also known in other networks such as DC and WinMX as active and passive.[/ltr]

UDP and TCP are layer 4 protocols and liiiight said it got something to do with the protocol and I explained that files are only sent using the TCP protocol only.[/ltr]

בכל נתב יש nat?

אז בנתב ללא nat כל הפורטים פתוחים?

וה icq משתמש בUDP לא?

מי עוד משתמש בפאוטוקול הזה?

בתור משתמש רגיל אתה חייב להשתמש בnat.

אין לי דרך קלה להסביר דוגמה שבה לא משתמשים ב-nat.
