I just bought an 7800gs CO, and i am really disappointed because of it's poor peformance on CSS and Half life 2.

in css i get 30-40 fps on Dust 2 when my graphics settings are set to high , color correction is enabled,

AA is set on 4X , and texture filtering is Trilnear. my resolution is 1024X768.

in some other maps like aim_texture2 i get with these settings 120 fps, but everyone knows that this map does not demand powerful hardware.

the really weird thing is that on F.E.A.R my computer settings is set on High, my Graphics Settings are on high + AA of 4X, Texture Filtering -Antistropic 4X. and soft shadows are on. i get 80-100 FPS

my hardware-

processer- P-4 3.0 GHz 800, 1 MB

Power supply - 400W

Motherboard - GA-8IPE1000-G AGP

memory - 512MB X2 (total 1GB)

Video Card - 7800gs CO

i Would be so glad if you guys could find my problem

Try to update the drivers.

I read about problems with running css on high resolution and top filters, but I haven't found any explanation or solution for that. It might be a problem in the game and not in the graphic card.

If you play on slower settings, you see any difference between the maps?

הבעיה במעבד, לחבר שלי יש את אותה הבעיה עם אותו המעבד.

אם הוא עובד כשני ליבות תכבה אחת כי זה רק מוריד מן הביצועים. (כלומר עובד ב-HT)

הורדתי פעילות של מעבד אחד,

הביצועים השתפרו בSTRESS TEST יש לי עכשיו ממוצע של 70 FPS

אבל ב DUST_2 עדיין יש לי 30 PFS

עשיתי בדיקה ב3DMARK05 - קיבלתי 6024

נראה לי שהבעיה הגדולה שלי זה הספק כוח יש לי רק 400 והמינימום של הכרטיס שלי זה 350 ...

בנוסף יש לי כרטיס עריכת שבתוך לוקח עוד כוח מהספק.
