i just got innovision geforce 4 ti 4200 128MB card and when i try to run any kind of game the monitor shuts down after a minute.

i have this monitor for about 6 years is it possible that it can't handle the graphic card or maybe the problem is in the graphic card --need help

I just ran into a similar situation with my Radeon 8500LE. I think the problem is that you try to work at a high resolution with a refresh rate not suitable for your monitor. Your monitor has a failsafe function which turns it off when the input signal might damage your monitor.You should be thankfukk that the only thing that happened was the monitor shutting it self off.

To solve this, try to decrease the refresh rate .Check the monitorqVideo card manuals to determin the best resolution and the best refresh rate to use.
