למה Windows Update לא מראה לי כל מיני דברים ?

כשהתקנתי את XP הוא מצא לי רק עדכון אבטחה אחד. גם יש לו קטעים מפגרים שבהם הוא שואל אותי משהו בנוסח "windows update מצא עדכונים חשובים. להורדה לחץ על הורדה" וכשאני לוחץ על הורדה כל החלון נעלם ואין אליו זכר.......

אבל בלי קשר, יש לי פנטיום 3 ואמרו שיש איזה פאצ' שעושה שXP יעבוד מהר יותר בפנטיום 3. למה windows update לא מציג לי אותו ? יש דרך להוריד אותו ידנית ?
