התקנתי לוח אם חדש ASUS TUSL2-C ומעבד סלרון 1200.

פירמטתי את הדיסק, התקנתי ווינדוס 98, התקנתי את הדרייברים של הלוח אם מהדיסק (INF update utility for 815 chipset)

והבעיה היא שאני מסמן את ה dma במאפיינים של כונן הדיוידי (ASUS E-612) ואחרי אתחול הוא לא מסומן.

בלוח הקודם שהיה לי (ASUS P3B-F) לא היתה לי בעיה עם אותו כונן דיוידי.

פניתי לתמיכה של אסוס והם אמרו לי לחזור על התהליך (התקנת ווינדוס+דרייברים) ובנוסף להתקין את Intel Applicatin Accelerator.

זה גרם ל IDE controllers שב- task manager להפוך ל ultra ATA IDE controllers

אבל ה secondary, שעליו יושב הדיוידי סומן בסימן קריאה ו האייקון של הדיוידי נעלם מה task manager וכמובן מ my computer.

הביוס של הלוח האם הוא המעודכן ביותר (1012). ככה קיבלתי אותו.
