    כרגע אין הבדלים בין גירסאות ה-AGP ו-PCI-E בביצועים

    אבל בעתיד יהיה הבדלים , עקרונית רוחב הפס של PCI-E X16 אמור להיות פי 4 יותר מהיר מ-AGP X 8

    גם ה-PCI-E X16 הוא לא סופי ,יהיה גירסאות נוספות של PCI-E X32

    במוקדם או במאוחר כל הלוחות יעברו לגירסת ה-PCI-E
