    I don't know what happens if you charge the butteries very fast, ofcorse that it you'll try charging them 10 amper, so they'll be full in 5 minutes, they will surely explode. anyway my charger charges at 60% more than what is writen on the butteries and beside of getting warm nothing happend to them so far (5 years or so). the most important thing is the mAh. (milliamper hour) meaning a buttery that has 1800mAh will last 36 hours on a device that takes 50mAh (+/- minidisk for example).
