Aight here goes:

I bought my new vantec Aerflow VA4-C7040...

I installed it and my CPU temp is 45 at idle(5 higher than with the stock cooling..

my steps of installation:

1. remove old heatsink

2. wipe the thermal pad left overs from the CPU with ear sticks

3. apply some (I'm not good at that) thermal paste on the CPU, and some one the heatsink..

4. put on the heatsink

5. running the computer...

The fan of the AerFlow works faster, the heatsink is better... what in hell can go wrong? the installation.

I have a feeling i didn't install the heatisnk right (maybe some bad thermal paste applying, god knows.. please help me out here... advices, ideas ? I'm willing to installm the heatsink all over again

אתה צריך לדאוג לסירקולציה טובה בתוך המארז , פינוי של אוויר חם והכנסת אוויר קר .....

דרך אגב תפרט את כמות המאווררים שיש לך במארז כולל תפקידם (הכנסה אוויר הוצאה) ....

I said I'm not sure about this cooling, not that i'm stupid:

If my old stock cooling had a lower temperature something has to be wrong right?

Chieftec Supertalent, perfect airflow, 5 fans, rounded cables... bottom line: the case's circulation is GREAT! 25c case temp (room temp)

the CPU is a totally different story:

with the AMD stock cooling i used to have 36c-40c at idle, and 45c MAX at work.

סבירות מאוד מאוד גדולה שלא מרחת טוב את המשחה הטרמית ....

וגם סוג המשחה הוא גם גורם פה...

ודרך אגב למעבד AMD להיות במצב של 45 מעלות ב IDLE זה מצב טוב מאוד....

תמרח כמו שצריך את המשחה(באתר הזה יש מדריך מעולה, בזכותו הצלחתי להוריד עוד 10 מעלות עם הוונטאק שלי )

What do you people NOT understand? with the STOCK cooling i had 40 degrees, now i have 50!

And the guide in the website is not that clear and I don't thing i got how to do it myself...

even though i did try to follow the guide

זה עם הגריז שמגיע עם הVANTEC??? 32C?!?! מעולה!!!
