Hi, I'm currently in the US and am shopping for a laptop

I went to BestBuy and I'm debating between 2 computers:

the sony VAIO

the only drawback that stops me from buying the HP one is that the battery sticks out and not flat...

plus I have another question,

at the store they told me that I can't get an International warranty on laptops and in order to have an International warranty I need to call the company and get one that will cost around 300$, is that true or is it just BestBuy thing?

btw, if you have any other sugestions on laptops 14'' screen, used for school and entertainment- I would love to get your suggestions and advice

מה זה "Entertainment"? מה בדיוק אתה עושה עם המחשב? מה זה להגדרתך חיי סוללה ארוכים? למה אתה מתכוון כשאתה אומר "Good Memory"?!

ל-sony אין בכלל אחריות בארץ. אין להם כרגע אפילו יבואן מרכזי. אצל HP לא ידוע לי על תוספת אפשרית לאחריות בינלאומית בתשלום אבל הנהלים שלהם מאד לא קבועים. קרא את הת'ראד המפורט בנוגע לקניית מחשב נייד בארה"ב. למיטב ידיעתי, ל-Best Buyn עצמה יש סוג מסויים של ביטוח חיצוני שהיו בפורום משתמשים שטענו שהוא תקף בארץ בתנאים מסויימים. ברר מולם, אין לי כל פרטים נוספים בנושא.

Long battery life- more than 4 hours

good memory- 4GB at least

budget- no budget, I'm willing to spend as much as needed for a good computer

entertainment= music, photos and downloading media

אני ממליצה על ה-Lenovo T400s. נייד ברמה אחרת לחלוטין מהניידים שציינת. איכות טובה, משקל סופר נמוך למחשב 14.1", יש אחריות בארץ ברוב המקרים, חיי סוללה טובים מאד וכל היתרונות שלהם מצפים מנייד עסקי.
