יש לי שאלה:

תוכנות מסוימות וכמה משחקים מבקשים ממני להתקין DirectX 9 כדי להפעיל אותם, אחרת הם לא פועלים. זאת למרות שאני משתמש בויסטה שבאה עם DirectX 10.

יש איזושהי מניעה להתקין את 9? זה יבוא "על חשבון" 10? ולמה ל-10 אין תמיכה לאחור באפליקציות שדורשות DirectX 9?

    אם אני לא טועה אפשר ללהריץ גם משחקים ודברים אחרים שדורשים DX9 בלי להתקין את הרכיבים של DX9,

    אבל אפילו אם תתקין DX9 , זה לא יפגע ב-DX10 ...

    בעיקרון אמור לרוץ לך גם משחקים / תוכנות של DX9...
