I have no Hebrew on this friggin' keyboard, I appologize...

I am having problems with this board. I just bought it and installed Win98se and WinXP Pro + SP1.

I am experiencing sound problems on Win98se. No device are installed although I installed the drivers.

On BOTH OS's I have shut down problems. The PC cannot shut down by itself unless I MANUALLY press the power button and only then it goes down.

Does someone here have this board?

Can someone help me here please?

first for hebrew go to

control panel<date,time....<riegonal and language options

chnage in there every thing to hebrew

the sound problem i dont have it but i ihink that if u download the driver 1.16 it will work fine

the shut down problem u fix by

going to

divce manager

then press on show hidden divices

(it in view)

then u probbley see something with x

Apparantely the sound issue is only in WIn98se. In WinXp Pro it does not happen. I installed the AsusnForce2_1.16 unified driver package and it immediately identified the sound devices...

In Win98se it is another story completely.

Regarding the shut down problem, someone else also told me about this thing to check in the device manager, but where EXACTLY is it? I checked "show hidden devices" but I saw no red 'X' mark.

Please be more specific on that.

Besides the 1.16 UDP from Asus, did you have to install anything else manually or regularly?

Any other drivers I should know of?

i think the option in the dive manager is

acpi fixed feature buutem

A. There is a hot fix for windows98 and 98SE that needs to be installed in order for the sound on your motherboard to work properly. You can find more information about the hot fix here and download the patch here. There is also another patch you should have installed, you can find it here. Also make sure that if you are using the 2.0 drivers from nVidia then to check above, as there is some important information about those drivers being installed on a7n8x-deluxe boards.

the driver 1.16 have all the driver for all the things whoes related to board

the only other dirver u need is of the vga, modem, etc....

and what about the hebrew u fix it?

השם לקוח מדיאבלו 2 אבל באות תקופה לא ידעתי הכי טוב אנגלית

על האפשרות הזאת אתה פשוט צריך לעשות ENABEL במידה והוא על DISABEL

אני משתמש בכרטיס קול OB אבל יש לי רק מערכת של 2 רמקולים (גדולים)

אבל יש איזה משהו נחמד שם שאם אתה מפעיל את הפענוח DD ושם אתה ההגדרות על מערכת 5.1 הוא נותן לך ערוצים מדומים ממש לא נשמע כמו משהו אמיתי אבל אופציה נחמדה

אין לי כוח להתחיל להתקין את ה98 עם כל הבעיות שלה
