    אין לי מושג אם זה הופיע בחדשות של HWzone, רק מספר לכם עובדות.

    הE2000 היא סדרה נוספת תחת השם "Pentium".

    לא בטוח, אבל כנראה היא תבוא במקום הE1000.

    The Intel Core processor uses the same microarchitecture as the Pentium M processors, but discards the Pentium M name (and also uses Intel's new logo). However the Pentium name will continue to be used in a new line of Core 2-derived processors. These processors, codenamed Conroe-L, will be marketed as the Pentium E1000 series. The new Pentium will have 1 MB of L2 cache and use an 800 MHz FSB, Intel EM64T technology, Execute Disable Bit, and will be a single-core processor.

    The Intel Pentium name will be carried on with the Pentium E2000, a budget dual-core chip due to be released in mid-June 2007. These processors are to be based on the Intel Core microarchitecture.

    There will be initially two models available:

    * Pentium E2140 (1.6 GHz, 200 MHz QDR FSB, 1 MiB L2 cache) at $74

    * Pentium E2160 (1.8 GHz, 200 MHz QDR FSB, 1 MiB L2 cache) at $84

    They will be based on the Allendale core, with EM64T support, Execute Disable Bit, Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology and have a 65W TDP. They will not support Intel's VT-x instructions. They will be released in the LGA775 form factor to run in existing LGA775 motherboards supporting VRD 11.0 and compatible chipsets.

    They are rated to run on a quad-pumped system bus running at 200 MHz, which in the popular press is often referred to as 800 MT/s or 800 MHz, indicating 800 million data transfers in one second. This is lower than the 1066 MT/s rating for the Core 2 Duo E6000 series processors, the top-of-the-line processors as of this writing (February 2007) and matches the E4000 series processors.
