Protest at Kikar Ha-Medina:

Annonimous personels have sprayed windows of designer shops on Kikar Ha-Medina in Tel-Aviv as a protest for the growing gaps between the lower and the upper class.

As you can tell, there are over 300 replies to this article and each tries to explain this act in their own way. Some say it's jelousy, other say that those Anarcho-Communists that think that the rich people should now pay the burden of the poor and unemployed, and quite angry with that... And so on.

Where do you stand on this subject? I mean, is really fair that while the one has no money to bring food to put on the table, the other wraps himself in luxury. Yes, alright, I understand that some rich people actualy worked hard and studied for their fortune but I can also say that not everyone can become millionares out of hard work/school. Today you'll see scholars and academics and other professionals standing in line for the unemployment fees - I know, they were standing with me just a few months ago. And of course, not every one of us has got the same starting point. Some of us have families who can stand behind us, help us pay our school and support us in every chance. Others come from broken homes with dysfunctional families or of lower education and socio-economic background. Some of those people are immigrants whos parents were scholared and were doctors and ingeneers in their homelands but here they had to switch to jobs like cashiers, housecleaners, carpenters or construction workers - and for the same wages a foreign worker gets with which is really hard to feed a family.

I suppouse that one thing that many people, who replied to that article, have misunderstood was the fact that this protest is not of jelousy but an act that made to shake up the system, the media - or anyone who cares, and to point a finger to show that we are comming forwards in giants steps closer and closer to become a Banana Republic, like the countries of Latin America, where the class differences are outrageous.

What a strong economy really needs is a big strong middle class. The people who show us empty refrigirators today were those middle class only 5-8 years ago. They weren't loaded but they could aford buying a computer for their kids, sign them up for an after school activity, go to Eilat or to Greece in Passover or shopping every other weekend. They weren't loaded - they lived in honour. I too want to live in honour and I'm sure that so do you. But how?

If something is not going to be done, we will end up like a 3rd world country where there are very few people who can aford a giant house with 8 butlers, a cook and a gardner - and people who shoot the 1st type of people at a red light on the street, get them out of their car and cut off their finger with the golden ring on it and drive off at their fancy ol' Hummer Jeep.

אני כבר אומר את זה דיי הרבה זמן, ואם לא נשנה משהו המדינה תדרדר וכבר רואים שזה לא סיסמאות בשמיים

כי יש מליון ומשהו עניים, המעמד ביניים צונח ונהפך לעני, יש יותר בעלי הון (עם יותר הון) יותר פשע וכו' וכו'. מה אפשר לעשות ?

אז במקום לבכות ולהגיד שחרא יש לי "תוכנית" עם כמה רעיונות. (מי אמר overclocker לראשות הממשלה? )

אז דבר ראשון לדעתי זה לשפר את הרווחה והחינוך ולהשקיע הרבה משאבים ושכל, בלי כל המריחות של דו"ח דברת. זה ייתן בסיס טוב

לצמיחה של דור חדש, שיוכל להוות בסיס בורגני טוב בעתיד.

השלב הבא צריך להיות ייעול של צה"ל, להקצות משאבים למה שצריך (כמו אפודים קרמיים במקום מסכי פלאזמה ועכברי HIGH END..)

ופשוט לבזבז פחות על דברים שלא נחוצים. כי בסופו של דבר הקיצוץ יעזור ויחזיר את ההשקעה.

אותם בשביל ללמוד מקצוע, והקומץ שכן הולכים צריכים לעשות את זה דרך מכינות חיצוניות. מה עוד, שהם מתחתנים מוקדם ומולידים מספר

ילדים שלא ראלי לרמה הכלכלית שלהם. אז אולי אפשר לעשות את מה שעשו בסין, ולגבות מהם מיסים. או לצמצם את חוק "משפחות מרובות ילדים" עד 3\4 ילדים. הם באמת מהווים בעיה שקשה לפתור, במיוחד כשהם כוח פוליטי הולך וגדל (תרתע משמע. למישהו יש רעיונות ?).

כדי לתקן את המצב הנוכחי צריך ליצור מקומות עבודה אולי ע"י פרויקטים יזומים של המדינה, או ע"י נתינה של תמיכה לחברות זרות להשקיע כאן (מי אמר INTEL?)

כשחושבים עלז ה זה דיי קשה לחשוב על משהו שישפר את המצב, כי זה תלוי בכ"כ הרבה אנשים שממש לא "כדאי" להם לשפר אותו. אולי אם כל המליון ומשהו

יעשו הפגנה זה יזיז עניינים...

Like I mentioned earlier, in order to keep a true western economy, with strong foundations, it needs a strong middle class and our middle class is growing more and more poor. And not just middle-middle class, but also high-middle class. At the waiting room at the unemployment office (lishkat ta'asuka) I met lawyers, 3rd year medical students, marketing personels and others. I used to work as a typist for 2-3 months, typing phone numbers out of the Yellow Pages into a computer data base. Together with me, in this job, that pays mere 18nis per hour, I had several girls who graduated as acocuntants and one guy who had a 1st degree in Computer Science and Programming.

When there's no middle class, there's a South-African/Brazillian 3rd world economy where poor resort to either working their arse off for low wages working as servants of the high class, or they get mad and resort to crime and steal off the rich. In western economies like in Northen Europe, the high class has an interest to invest in its country to keep the middle class strong and thus protecting their fortune. In our country there are no "Classy Rich People". There are, I know several, but the majority are "Novorich" kind of people who don't give a damn of what is going to happen to the rest of the world as long as they are happy. Those people often make their fortune by whitewashing cash, hiding taxes, grey market, gambling joints or other shady businesses.

The goverment here is a problem of its own. Perhaps 40 years ago the chosen to the parlament actualy cared about their country and people and had ideals, perhaps because of their East Europien Socialistic background, but todays ministers only care about power and money that'll flow into their pocket and after finishing their filthy business here - they usualy fly off to the USA or some neutral country in Central Europe and live like kings.

We seriously need a change.

לדעתי, המצב של היום הוא התדרדרות, שנמשכת כבר תקופה ושיאה היה בתקופה של פרוץ האינתיפדה.

עכשיו לאנשים העשירים ולמדינה פשוט לא היה אכפת גם במהלך האיתיפדה ועשו כמעט הכל כדי להעשיר את העשירים, אמנם לפי הנתונים המצב "השתפר" אבל מספיק ללכת ברחובות כדי להבין כמה בולשיט זה.

לדעתי יש פה בעצם שתי בעיות...

אחת כמובן הבעיה הכלכלית

שניה היא שאנחנו בעצם מאשימים את בעלי ההון ובעלי החנויות

יש ממשלה בישראל והיא אמורה לנווט את המשק

החובה של "בעלי ההון" היא חמישים אחוז מס הכנסה וזה לא מעט

הממשלה לא מתפקדת מבחינה כלכלית ואנחנו זורקים את האחריות על בעלי הון ועמותות רווחה

לא הם צריכים לדאוג לנו

That's not what I mean. I'm not Robin Hood, I didn't say "Rob from the Rich and give to the Poor". As a matter of fact, the fortune holders got tax disscounts and other prevleges from the state, and no matter how much tax they pay - these taxes are going straight to the pockets of politicans, bankers and other asswipes who don't care about the socio-economic state in this country.

There is lots of waste too. Like someone mentioned before - in the army they don't buy ceramic vests, or food fit for human consumption, but they do buy fancy pansy computer mice and plasma screens and bunch of other crap we could perfectly do without. Don't mention the fat paychecks for people who do absolutely nothing... Our Rasar gets arround 15k and all he's doing is... Well, whatever all of the Rasars of small bases of no more than 200 people is doing.

And many fortune holders, well, they just take gigantic loans from the bank, buy a little company and watch the money grow like fruit on a tree while the rest of us have to pay MONSTROUS precentage (ribit) just to cover their arse and that is why these days a young person can't even take a small loan to rent an appartment for one month untill his/her first paycheck after they get out of army and why people in Israel have to live with their parents untill they're almost married or squat like punks.

אין מה להגיד, פשוט זוועה. המחירים בשקלים גורמים למוצרים להראות כ"כ יקר, וכאילו זה משהוא לעשירים בלבד; צריך לעשות משהוא עם המטבע שלנו... מה דעתכם על "פאונד ישראלי"? לא, רגע, זה כבר היה...

עכשיו ברצינות, זה לא הבעיה של העשירים שהם חיים במדינת ישראל ואי אפשר לצפות מהם לפעול כנגד האינטרסים שלהם, מה שגם במדינה מתוקנת במקומות כמו כיכר המדינה אמור לקנות המעמד הבינוני-גבוהה ולא האלפיון העליון.

אבל להשחיט חנויות שלהם לא יעזור, כי מה לעשות זה לא ממש ישנה את דעתם, ולא תראו את האנשים שקונים שם אח"כ בהפגנות נגד השלטון ; לא כולם יכולים להיות *הכנס כאן שם של פעיל שמאלן ידוע*(למשל: מייקל מור).

אם הם בכל זאת רוצים להפגין איפשהוא ולהשחיט רכוש עם ספריי אני הייתי מציע להם את כנסת ישראל או כל רכוש אחר שקשור ישירות לאנשים בשלטון.

אגב, קטע מצחיק, זה כשקרארתי את התגובות בוואי נט נזכרתי בטיעון שהעשירים הם אלה שמחזיקים את המדינה בתשלום מיסים כשזה בדיוק ההפך - המדינה היא זאת שמעשירה את העשירים עם שלל הטבות, כמו למשל: נתינת חובות ענקיים למילארדרים על חשבון משלם המיסים לעשיית רכישות- בנקים למשל - שלא מועילות לציבור, או הפקרת שטחי מדינה והבטחת הכנסה לבוני כבישים מסויימים בתשלום, גלגול של 80% מהכסף במדינה בין פחות מ10% מהאזרחים(אומדן גס) וכדומה...

הבעיה היא שבארצות הברית יש כל כך הרבה עשירים עד שיש גם עשירים נחמדים,

בארץ יש רק איזה 5000 עשירים, אז כולם בני זונות.
