I formated my computer and installed windows xp sp2 and everything went ok (there were no disk problems before just a case of installing to much junk)

when I restart the computer I get the message DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER

and the only way I can get the system to boot is if I leave my Windows CD in the drive. I ignore the "Press any key to boot from CD....." message and Windows simply starts up. Otherwise I can't get past the error message.

I installed the windows on the extended partition in one of the logical drives, and before it was on the primary partition. Could this be the problem

ובכל אופן, נסי לשנות מחדש את ה boot order אצלך שיאתחל מההארדיסק קודם.

תעלי את ההתקנה של הווינדוס ותלחצי R ללכת לREPAIR CONSOLE. ושם תסדרי את הMBR, אני חושב שהפקודה היא FIXMBR.
