Who else likes mushroom hunting? I been out shroom hunting today and had lodsa fun, the hangover didn't bother me, mushroom we're gonna dry.almost at all, and I got arround 1.5kg or something and here's me and the girl I'm watching over with stringfull of

not my kind of mushrooms ....

but .... you can never know where you picked them ;D

In the forest, duhh...

And forest mushrooms are so much better than those crappy champinion ones that got no taste and smell. All Russians here remember well the taste of fried forest mushrooms (maslyata, those are such, late ones) with potatoes and "Tushonka" (kind of Russian Loof), or just marinaded. Mmmmm...

אם כבר אחרי הגשם\גשמים הראשונים

Those are just the small mushrooms I hanged on a string to dry, mostly white mushrooms (white leg and brown cap). They're pretty expensive if you buy them dried and packed, not as much as truffles but still. The really big ones we collected, we chopped and fried and eaten right away. This morning I went to gather some more and now my room is decorated with "mushroom necklaces" like a witche's hut, haha.

I remember indeed some tasty mushrooms in the forests of russia...

the most tasty of them all was the "fox" mushrooms...IMHO
